THE KOREA FOUNDATION 26th ANNIVERSARY

WINTER CONCERT

On Wednesday, December 6, the Korea Foundation will present its 26th Anniversary Winter Concert at Lotte Concert Hall.
As the leading public diplomacy organization of the Republic of Korea, the Korea Foundation has implemented a variety of public diplomacy programs for the past 26 years to raise awareness of Korea around the world and promote friendly relations between Korea and the international community.
Through the Anniversary Winter Concert, held every December, we at the Korea Foundation would like to express our deep appreciation to all of you for encouraging and supporting our efforts time and time again.
This year’s concert features Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki’s Symphony No. 5, titled “Korea” which was commissioned by the Korea Foundation to mark the 50th anniversary of Korean liberation from Japanese colonial rule. The KBS Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Chang Yunsung, will play the symphony again, 25 years after performing its premiere. We look forward to welcoming you to this forthcoming musical feast, which will also feature violinist Lee Woo-il and cellist James Kim.
