The KF Korean Language Education Internship Program is designed to support Korean language education at overseas universities, which provide Korean language courses on a regular credit basis, through the dispatch of graduate students or junior lecturers who have majored in Korean language education. The program also provides the interns with an opportunity to acquire hands-on experiences of Korean language education in an overseas environment.
Korean language education interns are expected to be currently enrolled in a graduate-level degree program of Korean language education as a foreign language or an equivalent academic area with relevant teaching experiences.

Qualifications | (Basic) • Korean nationality • Must be under 40 years of age • Outstanding research and communication capability, including the ability to speak and write clearly in English • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.35 (on a 4.5 scale) or equivalent (Think-Tank Internship) • Must be free to travel/stay abroad |
Korean Language Education Candidates are required to 1) have at least an MA degree in Korean language education or an equivalent academic area within the past three years, at time of dispatch, or 2) be currently enrolled in a graduate-level degree program in Korean language education as a foreign language or an equivalent academic area with relevant teaching experience, and 3) have work experience of less than two years of full-time employment. |

Required Documents (must be prepared in English) | • Application form (online) and resume • Statement of Purpose: one page, personal statement • Internship proposal (1,500 word limit/ 3-5 pages) • Official transcripts and certificate of graduation (if applicable) of undergraduate and/or graduate school • Official English test scores • Letters of recommendation (undergraduate/graduate professor, dean of the faculty or representative of affiliated organization) |

The Korea Foundation
• Airfare (round-trip, economy class, airfare from Korea to host institution)
• Monthly stipend for living and housing expenses
• International health insurance coverage
Host institution
• Administrative support for visa entry/stay approval
• Assistance in locating suitable housing and getting settled in
• Suitable workplace with computer access
• On-the-job training and practical workplace assignments
※ The Korea Foundation and the host institutions shall conclude a Memorandum of Understanding that outlines the standard terms and conditions of our program assistance.
