Under the Korean Language and Culture Learning Program for Diplomats, the Korea Foundation invites foreign diplomats and civil servants to Korea for intensive trainings on Korean language and culture to improve their Korean language proficiency to the level required for Korea-related work and to enhance their understanding of Korea.
Korean diplomatic missions abroad are eligible to apply for this program on behalf of foreign diplomats and civil servants in charge of international cooperation.
About 3 months (The training program is offered from March to May each year, but the period may vary.)
About 40 participants/ year
(1) Round-trip airfare (shortest route / economy class)
(2) Monthly stipend: 1.2 million Korean won
(3) Tuition (paid directly to training institutions)
(4) Health insurance (accidents and medical loss insurance by Korean insurance companies)
(5) Accommodation (Studio apartment-style, single-occupancy dormitory run by training institutions)
Please note that family members are not allowed to accompany participants.
